The Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Reduction training courses are nationally recognised and can only be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The courses are designed for:
- Beauty Therapists
- Medical practitioners
- Nurses
- Beginners (conditions apply)
These training courses are specifically intended to provide operators with the skills and knowledge to successfully provide and manage specialised services using IPL and Laser technology.
Participants develop skills in how to consult, provide advice for treatments, conduct treatments according to treatment plan and provide after care services.
Qualifications
Upon successful completion of the course students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment in:- Course in Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) for Hair Reduction (91378NSW)
- Course in Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) for Skin Rejuvenation (91377NSW)
Course Duration
The Hair Reduction and Skin Rejuvenation Courses can be taken separately (5 days per course) or combined (8 days):
Safety Course
- 2 days (compulsory)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) & Laser Training Courses
- 3 days Hair Reduction (theory and practical)
- 3 days Skin Rejuvenation (theory and practical)

Pre-Requisites
Although these courses are a direct entry program there are requirements that participants have to meet, either:Industry Experience
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
- Medical Practitioner
- Nursing Qualification
- plus a minimum of 12 months practical experience
No Industry Experience
- Pre-requisite units from the national beauty training package must be completed prior to course commencement
- plus a minimum of 12 months practical experience
Recognition of Prior Learning
We can upgrade your qualification by assessing your current skills and abilities.
To achieve this, you need to provide sufficient documentary evidence to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills required to be achieved in the Unit of Competency. Practical assessments may be required.

- Senior First Aid certificate is organised by the college or done externally
